The problem is I don't have an option.
If I open 7.5 - go to open family file - the file of all my old files
opens - I select a file - press open and I get the message to convert.
If I say no I get the message I have an older format.

I use research notes for all the information I have collected on
an individual giving a heading for each entry. When I have firmed
up on some information I put it in General notes, Birth notes, etc
and delete the original entry.

Every time I exit Legacy I do a back up to an external hard drive. When I was
using Legacy 7.5 it remembered my settings and automatically backed up to where
I wanted it on the external drive.
However when I exit v8 it automatically defaults to the C/ drive for back ups
and I have to change it
What has happened to the availability of Legacy 8.?

I have an ancestor who married in 1777 and had 10 children between 1778 and
1795. On only one baptism record (dated 1785) he was described as a pauper.

Upon reflective I should of been
checking the output into reports as I had been going along. I think I
have come up with a combination of default wording and then adding

I find italics particularly hard to skim down and it doesn't achieve
much purpose if you have color to highlight those individuals where the
sex is unknown.

Alternate Name. Individual Surname=M

I should have said backup the file - I am aware it saves data as it goes but
just wanted to ensure I had backed up the amended information i.e from
Private to Not Private.
Still happens though.

Thank you Mark that was great. Only two but one is a chap I have changed
from Private at least a dozen times, the other one is a new fellow. At
least I can now do a regular check. Interestingly they are always male.

I can right click on "in" to get 10 locations but none of those other
things work e.g. repeat button, left click. Nothing happens Is there
