the FamilyTree DNA tests include up to the Y_DNA 111 Marker, so
I’m surprised that it is updated but Ancestry is not. Also, why isn’t
GEDMATCH listed as an available "test"? I plan to start using that more in
the next few months so that I can use DNA Painter etc.

Because my online time is limited, I have mine set so that it will only
download on my direction. It was a setting that allowed me to make my
internet connection metered so that it won't be accessed without my
permission. You will see it under the update section of settings.

It took me a bit to figure this out, but when you choose a name from
the list, did you make sure there was a check in the box in front of
their name? That was the part that I was missing. I am using deluxe
so am not sure if it works in standard. Hope this helps.

Yes, it is installed into c:\legacy and my data file is in the data
file of legacy. Like I said, not a big deal, just weird.
