folder on a drive other than the one where Windows is installed.

By default Legacy stores family files in your Documents folder within the
Legacy Family Tree\Data sub-folder.
I’m reinstalling Legacy, and I am asked about a new Destination folder for the
program itself (Legacy9), but I don’t get asked about choosing a new folder for

In my family I have the surname BROTHERIDGE.
Throughout all their documents, it can be recorded as BROTHERIDGE, BLOTHERIDGE,
BOTHERIDGE.
One of my ancestors is Joseph BROTHERIDGE. For him the surname surname
BROTHERIDGE is never used.
So, this means, his AKA's have plenty of sources, but the
I'm sourcing photographs of grave markers I took last summer. Am I the
repository (because I have the photograph), or is the the cemetery the
repository (because they have the grave the actual grave marker)?
Thanks everyone!

Hello Luggers!
I have a Certificate of Title for my great-grand parent's grave sites.
In sourcing the document (using Source Writer), should I use the "Artifact"
template, or the "Cemetery Records" template (and if the "Cemetery Records",
which subset should I use)?
Thank you!

I am sourcing a photograph of my grandfather's grave marker.
My question has to do with the city. Back in 1959 the area was Assiniboi,
Manitoba (and I call it Assiniboi, Manitoba in my grandfather's burial
information/event).. But when I took the photograph it was long part of
Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Thanks to everyone who helped me with wording of my Informant Event. I now
have one connected question.
Should I be using as the date the day the informant completed the form or
the date the Registrar stamped the paper (often the day after).
Or are they really two different animals? The date the

BUT the source for my mom's AKA is listed. Meaning my report has this
orphaned source that does not tie into anything on the report.
Hello! I'm trying to create a definition for Informants (i.e. Betty was
the informant on her son's civil registration.)
Do Legacy users include the event date AND the registration date in the
definition?
I'm finding it very chewy. Presently I have:

A while back I started recording (under General notes), the ability of
ancestors to sign their own name (rather than someone writing His X mark).
I'm wondering now if I should create an event for it. What do others do?
Thanks!
