It might be helpful for support to know that this has been a problem for
some. I saw a similar sequence of events when I was uninstalling
version 7.5 -- I think last week. Running the program 'unwise.exe' is
what finished the job for me.

Legacy v7.5 is actually an upgrade to v7 so you should have only that version
on your computer.
Go to Start menu > All Programs and use the uninstall in the Legacy
registry
files. I don't want to mess up legacy 8, but I can reinstall that if needed.
