I'm not sure how exactly it's updating. Is it doing it because it's entering the next frame? If so, can I somehow pause on the movie's frame until I'm done rendering the screen? try updateLock = TRUE. Supposedly, it will stop all redrawing to the screen, then you can set it back to FALSE.

I've checked the url, it's fine in a browser. I've also changed the url to the xtra on MY server, and it works fine. I've put in a wrong directory and it alerted 'problem with url, file not found', so it's not that... I get a 'problem reading file' when the url is set to the proper one on

What is the difference between Navigation Interaction? Navigation is something that allow users to navigate within a page or site. Say, click on the button and go somewhere. The button is the navigation. Interaction is when something occurs as the result of user interactions with something.

I'm getting an error of -3 when I'm trying to setup an xtra to download if needed. I assume this is for a Shockwave movie. This may be too obvious, but have you put the URL into the xtrainfo.txt file? There are a lot of Shockwave-safe Xtras that aren't in that file, like the Audio Xtra.

I can't say for sure, but why not play with the object and embed tags and alter anywhere where you can find version related info and see if it does anything. Set the version to the latest cut something like 8.0 d204 or something. This would be experimental but it might work. Sincerely Mark
