Hey all,
Among most people I know who happen not to have Shockwave installed
on their systems, the reason turns out to be that they, at some

both... but... neither has CMYK capabilies. I did talk to Ravi of
Ravware, though, and he informed me that the next build of his
export Xtra should support CMYK format! cheers!

Great! If you find that the Lingo execution speed becomes an issue (which
can occur when processing large text chunks), Yair Sageev's TextCruncher
provides case conversion methods.

Find it at http://www.updatestage.com/xtras.
For a pure-lingo solution, create a list of your upper and lowercase ascii
codes (because "a" = "A", right?) and walk through your text char by char...
But this will be _very slow_, especially for long strings.

Have you considered using a List? I'd recommend that route.

Yes, it's possible to sort, the sort function will
work on the first value in your list of prop lists.
I have a write-up of this on my site: evilfish.org.

Hi all,
I have a good one. I worked on a project about 5 or 6 months ago...it went
through beta testing by our client, at their request so they'd know it
worked on their machines. It was authored in Director 7 on the PC
side. It has an installer that puts the projector file onto their C: dr
What I said was Mac OS 9 won't allow you to create a partition in any
version of Toast other that 4.1.1 (the latest version). If you're using
Toast 4 and have OS 8.x and Toast, then you CAN create a partition.

What Mas OS are you using? If it's OS 9 then you can't create hybrid CDs
with Toast 4...It must be Toast 4.12 in order to work with OS9. You either
need to put Toast on a Mac with OS 8.x OR update your version of Toast.

Hi all,
I know how to check for the Quicktime version on a machine, but, what is
the command for checking if Media Player is installed and is at least
version 7.0 on a PC? I'm using Dir 8.0.
Thanks
