Yes, I have--thanks, Rich. I've run some limited tests, and it seems to be
specific to the XML Parser Xtra.

I usually do that for a projector--in fact, it's the preferred method,
because it will load faster. If you include the Xtras in your projector,
they have to be unpacked before the projector can run.
Unfortunately, I have been SWAMPED and haven't been able to follow this
thread carefully. Kerry has likely found the problem withyour discovery
that the public beta is not downloading some xtras properly.
However, I was reminded of an issue that occured to me when working with
a Shockwave file
Last ditch attempt here...
I ran into a problem when creating a stub from a .dir with no xtras in it to
keep the startup size down. However I then ran into problems running
subsequent .dxr that did need xtras. For some reason they still didn't
trigger when I included the xtras required in my star

Yes, you're right. I tried that and it works--it brings up the file
download dialog.
I tried something very similar last night--exactly the same url, except I
asked for the .x32 file. Of course it

the situation. I'm pretty sure that I have been successful in downloading a

No error--it looks like it downloads it. It's strange, though--when I look
in Windows/System/Macromed/Shockwave 8/Xtras, I see a lot of other Xtras,
but not XMLParser.X32.
You get that little "downloading" dialog box when

Hi Kerry
Quick couple of questions for you:
1). When you marked it as download if needed, did it reach out and find the
Xtra or did it display an error dialogue?
2). Did you try to uncheck the box... and then save and compact the movie,
then go back in and recheck it?

Hello, night owls.
I swear, I'm doing everything right--I think.
I'm using the XML Parser Xtra. Works fine in authoring mode, but when I
make a Shockwave movie, I get an error, "Xtra not found. xmlparser." It
appears to happen before the prepareMovie handler exectutes.
I have included it in M
