IOCDS for Redhat

I just came back from Share and we would like to try to bring up Linux on an lpar on our z9. I was told to remove all of the dasd except what Linux would be using. What else should or should not be included in this IOCDS? Anything else that might prove helpful? We plan to try this with CentOS-5.
