Hi! You can dissallow access to local hosts/nets with it's permission file. In my case I've done this by clearing the appropriate bit in the perms file and setting localnet to 192.168.1.0/24 which works for the loopback and the network mentioned. On the other hand I've allowed access to ampr.org

Hi! I've a problem to set up a firewall with SuSE 6.2. The problem is that the PC with the firewall has to be protected too. Setting FW_WORLD_DEV="scc0" and FW_INT_DEV="eth0" seems not to protect the server itself. FW_INT_DEV="scc0" doesn't solve the problem too as far as I can remember my test.

Use an USCC card. Baycom has one with 4 and one with 8 ports. Buying a modem for an USCC card is much cheaper than a TNC not to mention the mass of cables you would need. If you're running KISS or 6pack with the TNCs (I think you'll have to use one of these two) the own microprocessor for each TNC

Compare it with my working z8530drv.conf, maybe you find something that could help you. Also try using softdcd off, if your modem supports a hard-dcd signal, because softdcd causes lots of interrupts which could slow down already slow machines. Also check RxOver and TxUnder with sccstat /dev/sccX,
