hello, i'm trying to upgrade from 6.0 to 6.1 on a dual boot machine (with NT) and for some reason the upgrade hangs when i choose upgrade in te graphical installation . i thought it has something to do with an extra NTFS partition, does anyone know what i should do in order not to hang the upgrad

Actually, this is a well-known RH6.1 upgrade/installation bug. I think somebody even posted about it in the list. The install/upgrade script is missing a break inside a switch statement, causing it to fall-thru and set the type to an ext2 partition (IIRC). Anyhow, you can fix it yourself by mount

Hi all. i have a linux server with PII 400 and 128 MB ram and 100MB swap partition. Now, the httpd server (apache) open lots of sockets. Is there a way to limit this ? can i run the web server through the inetd ? will it be better ?? Thanks, Mike ===
