Ugh. Well, I've ran Red Hat and Fedora forever and haven't really had
any problems of this sort before, I think. Also, I have completely
disabled SELinux. Thanks though. I'll see about compiling a fresh one
some rainy day...

Anyone had any luck running DOSEMU on kernel 2.6? I installed test6,
getting coredumps as it loads. Any known trick, or should I disclose

ha. Now another, even sillier problem; trying to build a new config,
but I can't seem to get dosemu to change [to] video mode. If I use my
old config file, it does, but I cannot for the life of me figure out
what's in there (and not in the new one) that triggers it. :) Any
idea
Just tried to get 1.1.4.11 running.
Those patches are gone from Stas' site, so I assume they're merged, but
1.1.4.11 still locks for me during Doom startup...?

You're right. This was an error. It DOES eat alot of CPU. :)
Thanks for your feedback.

It seems to me that DOSEMU _should_ be able to pick up these packets,
since, again, they're aimed to broadcast (all Doom IPX traffic is,
AFAIK).
Any clearer?

I know this has been discussed before, I searched the archives but

Is sound in Doom definitely out of the question, both now and in the
