Konqueror and drag the mouse it leaves trails of the icons border. Also
when I scroll using the scroll wheel the text gets garbled. Basically
its not repainting the screen for these two events.
Any ideas as how to fix it? I would very much appreciate it.

Well, I'm using a 3 Button Optical mouse with scroll wheel. All you
should really have to do is unplug the one you have and plug another
in. You shouldn't have to do any real configuration (or at least I've

On another note, most all USB mouse from logitec will work in a PS/2 port,
simply obtain a plug with usb in PS/2 out, plug
basically update the
kernel. After a time, I installed a Logitech USB wirless mouse. The mouse
receiver plugs into a USB port and works fine under X with the RedHat kernel.
