I recently tried to upgrade from linux 2.1.120 with raidtools 0.52beta2 to
2.2.1 with the 1-28 version of raidtools.
I downloaded linux-2.2.1.tar.gz, applied raid0145-19990128-2.2.0 (it works

controllers unless we slowdown the max sync transfer rate to the tape.

Apply which patch? Can you clarify this should the final line
be:-
unsigned long last = ((end-1) & PGDIR_MASK) + PGDIR_SIZE;
or
unsigned long last = (end + PGDIR_SIZE -1) & PGDIR_MASK;
They seem to be equivalent to me, but I have the line:-
unsigned long last = (end + PGDIR_SIZE -

I think i've found a problem in the MEGARAID driver for HP NetRaid card.
With Kernel 2.0.36 and his patch works fine, but with kernel 2.2.1, when I
do a complete backup with "tar" or with "dd" (or similar, "amanda",
"taper" , "dump") I get the message (after some archives)
