Jim,
It has taken a while but I have tried the newer kernel and it works with
the rtl8139. Auto detect of the network card works, so no options 128 or
129 are required in dhcpd.conf.
This m/b has an i810 chipset and even though I put in the MODULE_01 =
agpgart.o line it didn't load the module
Hi,
There's nothing more "user friendly" than the official documentation. Check
the web site (www.ltsp.org).

Dario.

I've got one computer working great with LTSP. I'm now trying to get another one
hooked up, however it's giving me errors. It hangs during DHCP lookup. I have the
DHCP set up exactly the same on the server as for the other computer, using a fixed
address tied to a MAC address. I have verifi

But 2.09pre3 will still work without the NIC= line in dhcpd.conf, as long as
the NIC is compiled into the kernel, correct?

Chris,
I've posted the kernel package with the fix for 3c509. it's called
lts_kernel_2.09pre3-test.tgz.
It may take 30 minutes or so, for it to show up on the download page.
The reason I called it '-test' is because I didn't get a chance to test
it.
Let me know if it gives you a problem.

Actually, I don't have an xinetd entry for DHCP, *however*, I do recall now
that with LTSP 2.08 + Mandrake 8.0, the -s entry in the xinetd e

Jim,
I have seen a couple of posts, in the last few weeks, with regard to people

I have checked out the Sep 30 changelog and also your updated instructions

Im not 100% sure but i think i remember reading that you need to use the

Hi All!
I installed LTSP 2.09pre3 on a Mandrake 8.0 server, with the following

lts_kernel
lts_x_core
lts_x_fonts
I also ran the ltsp_tempaltes script, which did all the necessary changes.
I also edited the /etc/dhcpd file appropriately. I am also using the

Hi,
From a linux console, you should try:

Where ltsp_server is the name or IP address of your current LTSP Server.
Hope it helps,

Chris,
I've got a fix for this problem, and I hope to post it tonight

If you are adventurous, you could download the ltsp_initrd_kit

part that requires the IO parameter. I mistakenly included

James,
You need to add:
MODULE_01 = agpgart.o
That will load the module and automatically the new device node will
appear in /dev
