Hello Community
As the work on running local apps on LTSP client is progressing well,
I would like to hear from you what kind of application you would want
to run locally. Firefox is one that is most commonly requested, what
are others?
Kind regards

Hi all,
I am playing a bit with LTSP 5 in Fedora 9 (with Fedora 9 client
filesystem) and I have some suggestions to improvement or workaround
about the local media access and user interaction thrught GNOME
desktop.
1. When a user insert a USB removeable media on his thin client, it

I was thinking that way, too. But then I saw the

I got huge lts.conf at school, because I use auto login for 113 thin
clients. I tested it first at home and it worked, too. At home it has
just few lines, because I have only one test client.
LTSP 5 is not well tested on any platform other than
Ubuntu and even there it is a mess if you want to do
anything special like use local printers. I recommend
using LTSP 4.2, since it just works.
cheers,

I posted previously re elo touchscreen not working. However, when I add
SCREEN_07=shell to (var/lib/tftpboot...) lts.conf it has no effect, I
still get graphical login. It appears that the lts.conf file is being
ignored and pure defaults used. I have run update image, rebooted and
such but there is
Argh, I know I removed "splash" before. Update: I just tested it and
"splash" comes back every time I create the chroot environment from
scratch. That's how I got screwed up.
So now, without "splash", I'm getting to the point where LDM is supposed
to come up but I get a rainbow of thin lines
I wouldn't do that. custom.conf only contains the changes, and not the
entire config. Try running the GUI configuration: gdmsetup

Hi,
I'm trying to get old Artec DBE60 thin clients to work with ltsp5 (they
were ok with 4.2) but getting kernel crash with default ltsp5 nbi.img.
DBE60 has etherboot 5.0.8 (tagged ELF Natsemi) on-board.
Loading default ltsp5 nbi.img crashes kernel right at the start. I tryed
newer client upda
