Hi again Jason,
yep, I was surely referring to the core package. Plus, I was getting
problems from x 4.0, not 3.3.6.
On top of that, I must make a correction: it was with the betas that

Hi Jason,
What ltsp release are you running? I ask this because I had the exaclty
same problem as you with the 3.0.0 and Debian 3.0. I then tryed after some
time the 3.0.1 and worked withouth a glitch. Before that, I used to copy
my entire /usr/lib/X11 directory from the server to the /opt
Hi again Toby,
well, exports file seem ok to me. Now 2 things come into my mind:
1. Try setting the workstation the same as the notebook, I mean IP addresses
and all, to see if its only a configuration issue, even if I doubt it
2. Maybe it is still a hardware problem. Is the workstation lo
Hi all,
I'm getting an error message like the subject says, just after the
workstation tryes to mount the nfs root filesystem. I've seen on other
lists that this _seems_ to be related to a parameter which is modified when
loading the network module and that specifies the maximum "work" p

Hi all,
don't know if this has much to do with the problem, but I had every
sort of strange problems running recent 2.4 kernels on pcs equipped with
EtherExpress pro100 boards. Every time the nic was in use, though. I don't
know if it can cause problems even when it is not used. Anyway, t

Hi Cobus,
it is enough to place an rw instead of ro in /etc/exports file on the
server. However, note that this will make ALL the warkstation mount it in
rw mode, causing the root filesystem to become modificable from every
workstation: this is usually unwanted, even because this fs shoul
Hi list,
I only wanted to say my 2 cents on this problem: you must consider
that a switch is not, most of the times, a faster hub. It requires more
attentions and knowledge on networks than any other hub. 3com, for example,
has a nice http gui to set it up! One problem that is quite often

Hi all,
I'm having problems with a similar card, 3c900B combo. The problem is
that I have some 27c256s cut they are all 28pin and on the board there is
a 32pin socket; s
Hi list,
I am experiencing some quirks on 3.0 that other people have never reported
and that I have fixed myself, but I wanted the opinion of some LTSP gurus...
One is that with the original rc.local script and a self-built 2.4.9 + kernel
(that means 2.4.9 up) I was unable to mount the ext2

I have debian woody installed, and ltsp worked well. I only had little problems
with the X package, but I resolved copying my X directory
Hi all,
I've got some problems with the rgb.txt included in XFree 4: some
programs don't display all the colors correctly. For example, xmms and gmc.

not defined or are defined with other names (example: black
