Hi everyone,
I need your help, please!
I use LTSP on a 8.10 Ubuntu server running inside VmWare.
I now have the following requirements:
1. Move from Vmware Server to Hyper-V 2012
2. On LTSP, move from rdesktop to xfreedrp to access new Windows
desktops on a Multipoint Server.
3. Keep
Hello,
I had a bit of trouble with this also. David and Gadi's tips really
helped. I spent quite a while trying to understand xfreerdp option in a
xterm, most of the time getting only black screens with a mouse pointer...
My current working options look like this:

Hi everyone,
I've been using LTSP in my network for a few years, not for every user,
but as a way to make good use of old hardware, 3 or 4 old PC's that
connect to virtual desktops through RDP.
I am now building a new server, I installed Ubuntu Server 12.04 with
LTSP. (BTW, this is a server
I want to thank everybody who answered me on this issue - it took me a
few weeks to find time to start working on this (my LTSP installation is
on a non-profit organization for which I work voluntarily...
occasionally, when I find the time), but now it's done and I'd like to
post my findings
Ok, it seems everybody is too busy to answer... I understand.
Perhaps someone could just tell me briefly no, you can't do that or
yes, you can, but I don't have time to explain now That would be
useful.
Thanks

Hi there List,
I have several users using LTSP to access Windows Desktops via rdesktop.
Each user accesses a different Windows instance (running in VM's).
My lts.conf directs users' rdesktop to a specific Windows instance based
on the client's MAC address.
My question is this: if I want a
Frank,
Just go to this directory on the LTSP server (BTW, I have my LTSP on
Ubuntu 8.10):
/opt/ltsp/i386/usr/bin
... and put this into a text file named pen or something similar:
#!/bin/sh
mount `ls -a /dev/sd* | tail -1` /media/root
Then make it executable:
sudo chmod 777 pen
Then do
this
confirms that it is installed and the image is updated.
Where can we go from here...?
Many thanks

Hi
I'm trying this setup described by Gadi here:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuLTSP/RdesktopLocaldev
so that my users can see their USB flash drives on the WinXP desktop
they access via LTSP.
Although I started getting a folder Drives on ltsp inside My

left alone, at least there could be a way of making LTSP not restart it
automatically until it is required by the user changing to that screen.
Thanks.

Would you say this is the same issue as I described here

I never got any help with that, but I would still like to know some
answers as this is totally blocking my LTSP project...
Thanks

Hi,
I'm trying a setup with LTSP 5.0 on Ubuntu 8.10 where I have two
sessions setup in my ltsp.conf: one is a typical LTSP ldm session, the
other is an rdesktop session connecting to a Windows Vista machine.
It seems to start up fine and I can toggle between the two worlds with

Hi
I am a beginner with LTSP. I installed it on Ubuntu 8.10 and it was
really easy to get everything working. Now I'm trying to access Windows
stations using rdesktop, so I changed my lts.conf and am now able to use
those desktops as well.
However, I'd like to know what functionality I should

Hi all,
