I have had several Problems with a Plaanet Switch together with
Davicom-Cards. With my RealTech-Cards it works fine. I think it is just
a compatibility problem. It's also a problem with Windows - and so not
only with LTSP. That are all my experiences.

A switch (100Mb/sec) is probably the standard setup and should be.

I got LTSP to work on 3Com switches both here at home as at work. I was
using Mandrake 8.1. So it must be possible. I'm sorry I can't be of more
help.
