The Character Style Window can be change size in 1.1.6cvs. I don't think this

Ben, this is happening because you're using a temporary directory to create
your LaTeX and DVI files. The PostScript stuff is no longer in the same
relative path.
The fix is to make MakeAbsPath() more intelligent.
The work around is to
1. Not use a temporary directory.

Dumb question but I'm running a very recent cvs version of Lyx (RH6). I seem
to recall that the files were not downward compatible. Is that correct?
Because I sent a Lyx file (lyxformat 2.16) to a friend and it crashed his

What can crsh the X server though is a missing eps fig. I have added a

On further investigation this is the most likely reason for the crash. I

OK. Lyx has been crashing in the same manner ever since 1.1 was released. The
only problem is it isn't reproducable despite it occuring frequently (weekly).
Can I run the lyxgdb RPM version all the time so that when it does crash I
can go through the same procedure with gdb and

Ahhh,
Was deleting some text when Lyx crashed. Is the following useful to help
track the bug down?
#0 0x401e0111 in __kill ()
(gdb) q
No, it's not useful. You should have typed "where" to see the call stack.
Is the following better
(gdb) where
