To my knowledge, there has been no progress and no one is working on. I

I have decided to keep my grammar checker small, mostly just a wrapper around
ChkTeX and JLanguageTool. Thus my code is likely to remain small enough to be
included in LyX. However my prototype is easy to distribute separately from
LyX and does not require any (re)compiling or installing. It

Very interesting. I've talken a look at the code - although it's Perl,
I am working on a grammar checker for LyX. It outputs the errors to LaTeX .log
format so it can integrate itself into LyX without need for any modification
to existing LyX binary.
Three questions.
First, I understand that to tell LyX 1.3.6 that a converter generates errors
in a LaTeX .log
now I run diction on the exported latex file, which also works,
but it would be even nicer
if it would be possible to use it or some other grammar checking utility
inside LyX.
I now that the implementatation of diction is not the best, so if a nice
implementation is less straight
forward, perhaps
have been thinking about Jean-Marc's proposal to scrap InsetGraphics
entirely and use InsetExternal in its place. Essentially, he suggests
extending the ExternalTemplate grammar so that the dialog would have
extra widgets that 'appear by magic' if the template supports
scalin

There is no other possible good-ui design. Everything else would break the
least-surprise principle. ;-)

Hi guys,
It's probably a lot of hassle, but are there any plans of implementing
some kind of grammar checking in LyX? Having transferred from MS Word
to LyX I have really missed this grammar checking function.
