I just tested this in LyX 2.0 beta 2 on OS X and it worked fine — after I
changed the LyX pipe path (back) to ~/.lyxpipe, which is the default LyZ
setting. You could change LyZ alternatively of course.
Point being I think it's simply down to the pipe file path matching

Hi all. I'm gingerly trying to switch over to LyX 2.0 (beta 1 2) and to
start using XeTeX so I can more easily access additional fonts. I'm writing
a thesis using the included thesis templates. Actually my current work uses
the template set sent out on these lists earlier in 2010, so I created br
My Lyx installation has suddenly decided that it won't run biber anymore,
even though it is properly indicated in the preferences pane, biber is
accessible from the command line etc. In fact, I can export the file to .tex
and compile from the command line. But I cannot get biber to run from within
Thank you Darren. The first version works perfectly to give what I expect to
see for endnotes.
The only addition I made was to add "\wide" before and "\endwide" after
"\printpagenotes*".
That allowed the endnotes to use the full width of text+notemargin.
Incidentally, why the asterisk?

Hi,
I ran into a situation that boggles my mind. I have posted the details on
the TeX StackExchange website:

Any ideas or suggestions on how to resolve the error would be greatly
appreciated.
Thank you
I have installed the Beta2 in Mac OSX. It just works out of the box.
Magnificent!
I have also read in detail the WhatsNew page and the additions are
really impressive (I love many of them: Sweave support, inline
spell-check, native spell checker on OSX, thesaurus, TikZ preview
support...

I suggest the following:
1. Check that ImageMagick's bin directory is on your system path. A quick way
to do that is to run 'convert -version' in a DOS window. DOS cannot find the
convert utility, either IM is not installed or it is not on the command path.
(I think Windows has a convert.exe p

George,
The LyX endnote module uses the LaTeX endnote package, and so it would require
some LaTeX hacking to change things much I think. Memoir has its own commands
to put notes at the end(it calls them pagenotes so as not to conflict with the
endnotes package). The memoir commands are not th
When inserting a program listing, all "-" characters in the source code
