Hello Charlie,
Try the following:
1. In the preamble add the following line:
\usepackage{wallpaper}
2. In the document add TeX following code (LyX > Insert > TeX Code):
\thispagestyle{empty}
\ThisCenterWallPaper{1}{path_to_wallpaper}

I do not know how much work it would be to create a new setting, which would
allow users to use whatever method they prefer. If I have to chose between the
two options, Daniel's proposal is my preference.

I have been struggling with this problem for a few days now
In a math environment (display or environment), you can switch to an
EqnArray environment with Ctrl Enter or Shift Enter.
If there is already an equation, it will be automatically split into columns
on particular symbols, including "=" and a few other operators and arrows.
Unfortunately, it passe
ke "lyx.config.converters.add(from, to, command, options)" to
let plugins mess around with settings while wrapping the internal logic.
Those might be cool features for some remote future version, though I
have no idea how much demand there would be to justify them.
Cheers,
Christoph

Hi,
I'm currently trying to write a lyx module (for my own use, though it
may end up on github eventually) that roughly imitates for Python what
knitr/sweave are doing with R:
- Provide an inset for noweb-like code blocks
- Run the file through a pre-processor to interpret those blocks
- Continue

Hi there,
1.
I saved a document with version 2.0beta3 and tried to
open it with 1.6.9. it says
unable to open - lyx2lyx could not convert the document...
2.
I created a reference list with 2.0beta3 (bibtex)
and all the reference titles are
"decapitalized" although theya are correct in bibtex..

Hi,
as of version 1.6.4, LyX has a pull down menu "File -> Version control", which

Hi Lorenzo!
I had exactly the same problems. The only solution I found, was to download
and to compile lyx 1.3.3 by myself.
Maybe this is a lyx-1.3.2/qt/SuSE bug.

Sorry, I have no idea. My lyx-1.3.3. is now working fine. So I will give it up

I am using fontconfig.
Meanwhile, I have compiled lyx-1.3.3 myself. Under this version the math-mode

Better replace ä,ö and ü with plain a,o and u.
So the alphabetical sorting is better.

Hi!
To be able to use algorithm floats I have to include
algorithm.sty manually via \usepackage in the LaTeX preamble.
Is this a bug within LyX 1.0.1 in general or just a problem
