The Serial to WiFi bridge that I use with my 102 (and occasionally used on the
Amiga until I got a gurunet adapter) is the WiModem232. It emulates a
Hayes-compatible modem, but the uplink is a TCP connection rather than a phone
line.

Not sure exactly what I get out of the Eneloops. Seems comparable to
Alkalines. I go back and forth between batteries and the wall wart. Maybe
others have done careful tests.
A feature of the Eneloops is they don't lose their charge sitting around.
