At this stage of their life, many cassette players have very soft belts,
and may not be running at the correct speed.
Wow and flutter level may also be really high - I know that even after
replacing the belts in my CCR-82 still has a really variable speed - almost
modulated.

feature is very finicky.
I've had success with different tape decks and tapes. But volume levels
are critical.
I'm using a CCR-81 and it can sometimes be a "try and try again" affair. I
can get a file on to and off of
I do get the screeching sound on the m100 if I type sound on. But I have also
tried loading with sound off as some have suggested on the internet.

To save a basic program, you must type: CLOAD"PROGRAM NAME" and press ENTER
key. Most problems from loading and recording come from the volume control
setting when loading. When you load the program, try to increase the volume
(usually near max works well)
