Hello,
in vmware you have 3 windows.
One for vmware, another for the virtualized system , and another, i think for
the parameters.
To quit vmware : if is is possible close the virtualised program as usual in
the non-virtualised.
And after, you coud quit vmware with command w or command q.

I open vmware fusion and windows and I can work on my mac window and let vmware

And when I come back in vmware I can find back windows and use it without

Take care.

Hi there. I am wondering if there are settings to set somewhere in burning cds?
I have a couple of files from audible that I want to play on my victor reader
but they only burned so the mac could play them.
Thanks.

My advice for you is to try and use the mac as much as you can instead of
trying to mix windows and mac especially with you trying to transfer over.
Makes things a little tricker to learn. If you listen to podcasts about the
mac you can catch on to voiceover very quickly, that's how I learned it
Hi Mike,
Thanks for the help. I will probably definitely contact you off list
and ask you for help. I'm just getting my computer today, so I'll be
playing with it later this week. Did you use JAWS when you used
windows?
Thanks again, I really appreciate it! /grins/

Hi, Laurel.
I recognize you from the NAGDU list.
Anyway, I made the switch from Jaws and windows to Mac and voiceover last
summer. If you need any help, feel free to ask. I'm happy to assist however I
can.

Yeah and when on windows I'm still a strong jaws user. I personally have set
up a VM on my mac now for windows if I need it but still haven't made the

My answers to your questions would be
1, what were some of the most important changes from using jaws to using
voice over that you who made that switch had to get used to?
My answer is take your time. VO is different to Jaws, some things are
better, some things are more difficult such as

Ive virtualised on a bootcamp partition. So I don't know where to find the
folder.
Do you know where is the virtual machine
In thei case you will not be able to use a vmware with bootcamp. Well you can
but it is as slow as ever so yoru best bet is to create the vm from the vmware
program.

I really wouldn't put windows on your mac straight out of the gate as you
will want to use it foreverything. Trust me when I say that'll only make
learning th mac that much more complicated if you just plop windows in any
form on the mac whenyou're learning voiceover as well.

Crossover is not accessible.
Parallels works, but isn't the best when it comes to accessibility,
and from what I've been seeing, it's gotten worse with the latest few
releases, so you might want to avoid that one too.

That's exactly what it's designed for, boot windows with the vm and jaws
comes up like it was it's own system. It's sharing resourses with your Mac
OS so it might not react exactly the same but it's pretty much windows on
it'w own with a few tweaks here and there.

What happens with fusion is that Windows becomes just another program on

So yes you can have Jaws and Kurzweil running within Fusion and then switch

I agree that you need to put in the effort to learn voiceover as it is a

Whether you can simply drop Windows is another thing though. It depends on
what you need to do. If you need only basic word-processing and are mainly
