Hi Paula,
Hang on there. I now remember that there are some accessibility issues in
navigating Java Preferences. I reported this to Apple the last time I had to
look here. You're going to have to use your trackpad to move to the radio
button for network and click it. Set up VoiceOver Utilit

Hi Esther
Thank you very much for your help. I think I may have also stumbled upon a
similar article. I am trying to follow the instructions to clear out stored
certificates, but can't move away from the general tab in java preferences.
Could you please give me any tips on how to do this?

Can you do a vo shift space on the tab using voice over? Since I don't play
with the java prefs I won't be of much help but hopefully it's a push in the
right direction.

Hi Paula,
You probably need someone who is actually running Blackboard currently to help
troubleshoot this, but I did a web search and found this support page titled,
"Troubleshooting Blackboard Java Issues":

Hi there
Can somebody please tell me how to change the tab group in java preferences?
I am stuck on general and can't figure out how to get to network.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Bear with me, because I'm not too technically savvy at times. On Friday, I
did some updates to my system. I'm running Lion on my Macbook Pro. Since
then, when I go to the ELive room in Blackboard and go to run a recording of
a lecture that is available, it gives me the following error

You're on it. What do you need help with regarding your mac? Any error
messages, and specks of the machine would be helpful.

Respectfully, Apple never actually gave us a date. They just said "July," which
is nice and vague. I doubt discussing features, accessibility-related or not,
is something Apple would appreciate until the release actually arrives.

So they've again changed the date, originally it was supposed to be
today. Will iOS alert-style popups now appear, with the new
notification center?

It comes out on the 25th July.
Does anybody have any thoughts, will upgrading to Mountain Lion affect
VoiceOver's java access with programs like ELive that are offered through
Blackboard?
Thanks for any help with this.

Hi James,
Since you haven't had an answer yet to your question about magnification on the
iPad for low-vision users, I thought I would just mention that if you add the
"zoom" function setting to the web rotor on the iPad, as well as to the iPhone,
you can flick to an 11 times zoom magnification

Actually I had to option click the mac app store in the doc, option click the
purchases radio button, option click the lion heading, option click the
download button and it went. Failing that I could create a new account and
download that way. Then del the new account when I'm done.
Take care.
Hi Jim
This should work for you. We have a second generation Apple TV but the only
differences between your model and ours are a slightly faster dual core
processor with one core disabled, and twice the internal RAM. The rest of the
design is identical. I use VO like that all the time and it
Open the App Store, highlight the "Purchases" radio button and then click on
"Download" for your purchased copy of Lion. When it executes following the
download, simply copy the "Install Lion.app" to another location and quit the
installer.

The messages have to download first. I would try waiting a few minutes and
