Hi Sarah and Esther,
Many thanks for the info on how to change the VoiceOver label for an iPhone App
so that I can distinguish between two apps with the same filename. That worked
fine. Can you do the same trick to label unlabelled buttons in an iPhone App?
Best wishes

Hi Gang:
I must be having a senior's moment here. On one of my computers, I can open
the trash mailbox with Command-5 but on the other computer, my
command-choices only go as far as command-4.
How do I resolve this problem?
Thanks all over the place gang.

Hi Jim.
Have you unhidden the Mailboxes, with Command Shift M?
Not sure what else you could try.
Unless there is something in the View Menu to Display other Mailboxes.
Hope this helps.

Hello Paul, Sarah, and Others,
The ability to add labels for VoiceOver was a feature that was added to iOS 5.
You can check the AxS Lab link summarizing current iOS VoiceOver Gesture,
Braille, and Keyboard Shortcuts for the equivalent commands to add labels using
a keyboard and Braille:

debs to change the name of the app once it is installed. *smiles*
The 2 finger double tap jester is def the way to do it as I would label voice
memos for my sake that way. lol!
Good luck.

The reader does not work here, well it does but with 1 heading and no text.

to mac osx. I don't use the product but just a heads up for those that use it
on apple's counter part.

Hi William,
I use Audio Book Binder a lot to turn books from www.calibre.org into a more
convenient format. Each Calibre book is a set of MP3 files with names like
007213-001.mp3, 007213-002.mp3, ... 007213-121.mp3. I select all these files
and add them to the table in audio book binder. I then
G'day Sarah,
Alas looks like I needed to attach another audio device. The available
options under both System Prefs / Sound and Utilities / Voice Over showed
only the built in device. This made no difference even when pluggin in the
digital optical cable to the 3.5mm jack on the back of the Mini

know lol!
Good luck. and be blessed.

I'm looking for something simple in an audio interface for the iMac. , maybe
two mic preamps , usb or firewire, Just something to run a mic or two and a

I've had a couple of strange crashes that have required a hard shut down with
the power button. On some great advice, I've repaired disk permissions but it's
taking a lot longer than it used too and I get the following line and I'm not
sure if it's supposed to be like that. I have a nagging feel
I've gotten that line before as well. I would also like to know what that
means. As I could not copy this to the clip board as i was in recovery mode. My
mac has not crashed but I have gotten this line even after a clean install and
wiping the drive.

Hello Douglas,
Preview scans images, it does not perform OCR. For this, you need an OCR
application such as ABBYY FineReader Express which you can get from the Mac
Appstore. There is no free OCR solution for the Mac.
Adobe Reader, as far as I know, is not accessible with VO.
