Note with the MacBook Air. However I noticed the braille display using 8 cell
braille with the computer. Is there a setting on the Air in system preferences

Tap Safari on your phone, and then just swipe past the first few links for
iPad, Ipod and Iphone, and the next one will be iTunes, double tap it. It

HI
This is a very simple one. Go into RoiceOver utility and
scroll down to Braille in the categories group. If you tab from
there, you'll find a setting to use contracted Braille, and
another to use 8 dot Braille. Check the ones you want and remove
those you don't.

YOu might look in vo utility under the braille settings while the display is
attached to your mac air.
You can also toggle between 8 and 6 dot mode, at least you can on my braille
sense, on the note taker itself. Not sure where that setting is on the apex,
though, as I don't own one of those.

We thought some might appreciate this as it fixes what has for us been quite an
irritating problem at times. Under OS X, you cannot directly modify a zip file
without re-archiving the whole thing over again. This software allows you to
manipulate zip files just like a folder.

In VoiceOver Utility, (VoiceOver+F8), scroll down to the Braille category and
look under the Layout tab. There you will see q checkboxes; Use Contracted
Braille, and Use 8-Dot Braille. Modify their status to suit your needs. You

Ok this should be a trivial exercise but I’m doing something daft. I have a
mac running Mountain lion however I need to put Lion back onto it in such a way
that it can be dual-booted. The mac as one SSD which runs the main OS and a
2TB HD which I will use as my Lion partition.

Just a quickie!
After pressing VO+f8 each item in the table has a Command key+number so Braille
would be Command+9 and will take you straight there! Command+8 for commanders
and so on!

ever got a dialog box in centre of your screen, that voice over only announces
"user notification" and nothing else, and you can't navigate
It's the Apple website. It opens there by default when I tap Safari. Maybe
others have different websites loading when they tap on Safari, but maybe
swiping past iPad Ipod Iphone to iTuens give a bit of a clue? -

Andy, as you know, Safari is a web browser. My Safari web browser is set my own
blog there are no links for iPad iPod etc. Can you tell me at what website this
should be done? It can be much simpler if you will tell me the correct details.

I would guess that they aren't aware what Safari is by the previous responses.
Could it in fact be the apple page? Perhaps this was suggested but I couldn't

excel spread sheet containing information that I want to access. What's the

I personally use numbers. It works fine. I can't get it to read column headers
though even via the voice over activities and those slow down my system anyway.
