After upgrading to IOS8, my one remaining drudgery task
is the update to the app store. The drudgery part is that
36-page legal masterpiece that one must agree to in order to
make the update happen so life can go on and the Earth won't get
stuck on it's axis causing the ocean to boil.
I never read all 36 pages and was still able to agree to the terms. Try
a four finger tap towards the bottom of the screen this should jump to
the bottom of the window where the buttons are.

Yes I did not have to read the whole thing either. You will have to hit agree

My thanks to all who answered. I had not tried the
4-finger jesture but was using a keyboard.
The keyboard is handy for some things but like a hammer,
it's not for every occasion.

Personally I hate list view but I will try it temporarily to see if it is a
problem peculiar to column view.

OK I have tried changingto list view and it makes no difference. Every time
I open a Finder window it closes any other Finder Window with the exception of
any windows specifically created with the open in new window command.
Clearly you are expected to work with Tabs now. I In an earlier ver
Actually tab chooser is easy. ctrl tab will get you back and forth.
Take care.

It moves you to the bottom of the window you are in.

Hello David,
I think I understand now what you are saying. You are expecting a new Finder
window to open when you press one of the “go to folder…” hotkey combos. Is that
correct? Is that how it behaved for you prior to Mavericks? If yes, do you
recall if there was a toggle in Finder Prefs prior
