Hi all. So I downloaded adium, and have my accounts set up with it. I have it
set to speak the events. However, the when the system voice speaks, voiceover
cannot speak over it unless I press control, which only has the voice skip to
the next message in its queue. Is there a better way to do

Did you know the stock Messages app can handle Facebook? Just set it up
using the Jabba protocol and use
chat.facebook.com
as the server.

Adium I use all the time. I have it set up so when a new chat comes in
from a different person, I am alerted. Since I can have up to 5 to 8
conversations going a time. It is important I know who has just updated or
pinged me. No other IM does this sort of thing.

As far as I know you have to download Adium from the web. If you google for it
the first result should be the download page. It is hosted on Sourceforge so
make sure you get it from there. In any case this is a free mac application and

figure out where the message is for me to view, unless I click on my contacts
name to see if it came from them or not. When

menus. I just memorized the hot keys I need, not all of them though. I've been
using and loving adium nightly builds for over 3 years now and apart from their
ticket system being so odd that I can't submit any tickets

Yea I am. It's a face book issue. Skype and a lot of other apps are having

used to announce when someone signe in or out or send her a message. Now

Hi. Just downloaded and installed adium. I managed to set up my accounts and
can see the contact list. I've done some googling, but can't seem to find a
whole lot of info on how to use this app with voiceover . Are there any audio
or text demos out there that explain how to set up adium so
you'll notice an item identified as HTML.
After interacting with that item, you can peruse the entire history.

sets, so if you like the iChat sounds, for example, you can switch
there are a few ways to do this, in the adium preferences, if you go to the

using lion, make sure you are using Alex as your voice though or this will not
