I clicked on the URL you gave and Amazon says the book hasn't been
released yet. I probably will buy it when it's available. Schoun, any
idea when that might be?
And while you're at it, how exactly does one pronounce "Schoun" -- I
presume it's like "Sean," is that correct?
If it can fill me

Dan,
Buy Shoun Regan's Book (he's a frequent poster on this list and a
local guy). It's the end all and be all for OS X Server. I made a

When the 'inactive' usage has grown to a large size, I'm seeing two,

three, "bash" processes that have launched/running at the same time
as this
memory usage has jumped. When these "bash"

Okay, now that we have two macs here at home, we would like to be
able to keep our iCal calendars in sync.
I do not have a .Mac account (well, i do have a trail account, but i
doubt that i'll upgrade to the full version after it expires). Is it
possible to sync just certain calendars between
and keep track of the timings.
Maybe it's time to dig it up the program and try it again at a few
sites.

I have OS X Server 10.4.3 running on one of the computers at work.
Works great for all the Macs.
There are two PCs, both running Windows XP, on the LAN. I am trying
to set up file and print sharing for them from the OS X Server,
keeping it as simple as possible. I have:

Thanks. I did what you said, plus I fooled around with the control panel
a little bit, and it started working again.

Thanks, Lee, I had gotten some of those messages like Anne's and they
told me to go to this site, but then i wasn't sure after getting to
the flip4mac site, how much Windows trouble I might invite, also.

Mike,
Internet connections appear to be just as fast with wireless as
wired, but transferring files between computers is not near as fast
using wireless as wired. I can't answer the DSL vs cable as I only
have cable, I do notice that at night when several are on I get a
slower speed.
Joh
Hey Group,
A general question about connection speed. Is it right to assume that
you will sacrifice some speed to have a wireless setup, or should it
be the same as a directly connected to the cable modem setup?
This might be too general of a question, as I know that other outside
factors can
You assume correctly.
