Yes, that is indeed correct. Here are the steps:
1) Go to the VoiceOver Utility (VO-F8), and hit Command-Shift-E for
Export.
2) Enter a file name for the file you want to save, obviously keeping
the file format intact.

Yeah. I really hope so. The great thing about importing and exporting
things is that if you're going to import any labels, it will just add
the labels you don't have already which means your old labels won't be
deleted. It's a kind of syncronizing. That's what the manual says.

I assume you're using Readiris? With VueScan, you don't need to be
able to access the Canon software, it handles all that for you. My
Canon Lide 700F works best with VueScan if I don't install any of the
Canon software.
