bootcamp not appearing in startup disk prefs

Subject says it all. I can't go to bootfcam via the recovery partition's "choose a startup disk" option, but, nowhere else. Bootchamp doesn't work anymore, citing some sort of error, and, it just doesn't appear in startup prefs. Any ideas on how I can fix this? It's not worked for a while on a

What's the best app for being able to stream your video and music collection to your iOS device from your mac? I'm thinking about a media center, but it says my router is incompatible. Does thus just mean I can't stream outside my home? Are there better apps out there? Vlc's ok but it crashes
