Navigating in a sound means what ways do you have to jump forward and backward.
Is it possible to use page up and down, arrow keys or other ways? How to change
the zoom level?

To avoid clicks Amadeus pro can automatically crossfade edges of a cut.

What makes it a little bit easier to place your marker exactly where you what
it to be is: by pressing k or shift k you can hear a short peace before and a
short peace after the insertion point. And with a and f you can remove it
depending on the chosen zoom level. But still work is way slowlier

Having this places the edit point where there is no sound and is supposed to
avoid clicks and pops which can otherwise occur.

Hi Marlaina,
When I was first learning Amadeus Pro I found it difficult to piece
together all the written tips and suggestions. Also, the in app help was not
written from a voice over perspective. Once I was successful I did a podcast

this, you might perhaps press the M key too early or late. That's one thing I

But then you could never be as exact as you wanted, given that it takes a

very very small fragment of time, that's true, but in precition edi
That was the first thing i looked for in the sound studio prefs but nothing
could be found there, at least not that i saw, which made me a tad
disappointed, because i would have loved such a feature.

Hi,
You are correct that there is not a pre and post as you describe. As far as
scrubbing being useless, I disagree. I simply use scrubbing to get to exactly
where I want to edit and tap the "m" key to set a mark. It works like a charm
for me.

Ah, so let me see, you want the ability that, when you pause a file's playback,
the inserttion point needs to remain where the playback stopped. Is that
right? I suspect you might find something in preferences that indicates how
the space bar should behave when playing a file. Since I don't h

Hi,
I switched from Amadeus to Sound Studio because I found Sound Studio much
easier to use with VoiceOver. About all I do is edit podcasts. Sound Studio may
or may not meet your needs but it is in the app store.

Load up a file: hit command o in amadeus and browse as usual.
2. To save a file, it's in the file menu where you expect it. Just like in a
text editor you can choose the file type, so you can also save directly into
mp3, into wav, aac or whatever you want.

Hi Marlaina,
at first: Amadeus Pro is great. But with Sound Forge I'm way faster. Amadeus is
a bit less intuitive.
1. Amadeus has not that many short cuts as SF. But you can define your own ones
in the system preferences. That's much better then in Windows.
2. You should read the help section
After all the good things I've read, I have downloaded the trial of the light
version. I cannot locate info on keyboard commands. Could somebody get me
started? I'd like to know where I might find a list, but would like to know
for starters how to select sound, highlight it, drop markers, etc
