The trick to iCloud is making sure you VO-space on the item you want. In
some cases, you then have to interact with a frame to see the specific
settings. It's much better than it was and there are still a few areas that
need fixing. Write to Apple accessibility about these and be specific
Hi Brian,
In addition to what John mentioned, you could also use the tab-key to more
easily move around the site then either press return or VO-space to activate an
item. One thing that I've always made sure that I've done is to check the box
in the Advanced pane of Safari Prefs that tells
Hey Tim,
Again thanks for kicking me in the head to remove gmail from my computer and
migrating everything over to iCloud, as that part worked well, and since
completely removing my gmail account from the desktop my computer is back to
running much better, and mac mail isn't having any
Brian, I'm with you. I can't bring up the preferences at all anymore, and the
one time I did, nothing was labeled. I just want to create an alias, but I
can't because it is not accessible. I seem to be able to check mail, but beyond
that, nothing works reliably with Voiceover.

Basically, as have to interact with the mail frame. If you change anything in
there, you have to back out and interact again. So to get to preferences, you
have to go into the mailboxes area win the mail frame, press the actions
button, then go back into the frame and press the preferences
Thanks, that really seems to help! One question, though: I can't seem to create
aliases, even now. Things go much better - I can see the different fields and
the only unlabeled controls are the color button to assign to the label - but
nothing happens when I click OK. The first alias I tried
Ok, I admit that I'm stumped by this as well. I went to add alias, sure it
was going to work. I even used VO-command-f4 to route the keyboard focus to the
edit field for the alias. Still, the buttons are dimmed. I apologize for the
misleading statements. I really was fooled that it would work.
Hey all, try using VO command shift space bar on the text field where you want
to enter the alias, as using this command is the only way I can seem to enter
text in the rules edit fields. Although I created 8 rules last night and they
are all gone so not sure why they didn't save.
On Feb 19,
I have set up two aliases, but I know you had to really fiddle with it. I'll
take a look again and see if I can figure out the steps.

Hey all,
Ok, so I am making the jump from gmail to iCloud. I was told I would need to
use the iCloud website to create my rules if I wanted the messages to follow
those rules across devices. First I had to reload the iCloud website three
times as VoiceOver wouldn't even allow me to enter my
