Right, and your saying, voiceover reads the 3rd party icon in the status bar when the mouse pointer is over it? Now, I haven't tried this in a while but, I remember this not being the case. It might have reported Apple icons like time machine and wifi etc, but not 3rd party icons. Ricardo Wa

Hello, Not that I'm aware of. I get absolutely no feedback with voiceover regarding whats underneath the mouse. This is the key element missing in Lion that was in SL. I have a little bit of sight, and have been trying to come up with some work arounds but, I've come up empty. As a Mac user

Actually I am hitting vo+m twice I said control+m for some crazy reason. Anyway, if I hit vo+m twice it no longer brings brings up the status menu. Oddly when I hit it three times it still brings up the spotlight menu and when I hit it once it bring up the system menu. Hitting it twice I am st
