I'm finding the same thing. When I create a group in the address book, I'd
like to name it something that's more useful than untitled group.

Hi,
Yeah, that doesn't work either. I've tried all the obvious things. It's really
bizarre. I just tried this method when you suggested it. No go.

Hi Nic,
Yes, I was afraid that this was a long shot since it sounded as though
you tried all the obvious things. The one thing I would have thought
most promising was using NumPad Commander and pressing "5" on a
numeric keypad or else using the trackpad button (on a laptop) or a
mouse to
Hi Ester,
I tried out your instructions as well to double-check, but that didn't seem to
do anything at all. I guess it's a good thing I reported it to Apple, then. I'm
definitely having major problems with it.

Nic

Hello; as the problem is with snow lepard is there a chance someone
on this list would know how to get to the correct subfolder in address
book so the people needing to do this would have a working solution
until apple fixes the problem in snow lepard. good luck, Max

Hi,
I told them exactly which version I was running at the time, so that should be
alright. Yep, none of that works in Snowy at all for me, and that's exactly
what I used to be able to do.

Ok, so that explains why i'm not having this problem. I'm not running
snow lepard. I'm still running lepard. And either using the menu or
typing the shortcut i just enter a name and press enter. If i want to
rename i just press enter on that group name type the new name and
press enter
Speaking of groups, has anyone ever been able to get the popup that allows you
to change friend, spouse, etc. to stick? I know these tags let you do some
additional sorting and creating of smart lists, but seems they just don't stay
set and revert back to friend.

Hi,
A couple of people suggested things you can try, but I don't remember them.
They didn't work for me, but might work for someone else. I still went ahead
and reported the issues to Apple, though, since nothing worked on my end and
I'd like to properly use Address Book. Apple said they would
Hi Nic.
Many thanks for your answer. Then I don't have to scratch my head over this. We
hope it going to be fixed.

Hi,
I think everyone is having this problem. I haven't heard of any way around it,
but if there is a way to work around this, I'd be glad to hear it. At any rate,
though, Apple knows about it. I was hoping it'd been fixed in 10.6.1, since I
wrote to them when Snowy had just been released.

Hi all
How on earth can I create groups in adressbook? The problem I have is when I
created the group from the file menu the name is untitled and I can not get it
to change to for example Work.
Any Idea?
Regards Tony
