I have always found it difficult to use. It’s an app you download, but it uses
the web interface. I personally just create alias’s to the folders I need.

Dear Lorie,
You need to go to menu extra, find Google drive and vo+space on it. You will
be presented with a number of choices. Press “more” and you should be in the
preferences for Google Drive. There you can determine whether your files sync
and are available off-line.

I use Google Drive FileStream instead of Backup & Sync, so I'm not totally
familiar with the intricacies of the Backup & Sync service,. Google Drive
FileStream is only available to G Suite for Education or G Suite for Business,
thus it's not an option for you. T

the restart. Don't look at the Google Drive Backup & Sync status or anything
related to it for about five minutes after restart. After this time, press

First, it sounds like you're no longer signed in to your Google Drive on the
Mac. That would make it so that things that were deleted were not synced with
the Google Cloud. This would also probably make it so that you couldn't share
files from the Finder. If you are sharing
