Nah, that's not enough. Still fails.
Another difference is that I'm building my optified package in scratchbox
before upload and the other people are using the autobuilder, so the problem
should be somewhere else.

Hmm, yes, that seems to be the problem. In the final SDK /opt is a symlink
but in the latest beta SDK it is not. I didn't upgrade my development
machine, but I have the final on another so I can compare. I'll report back

Well, on the device and probably in autobuilder the /opt folder is actually
a symlink to /home/opt... On the other hand maemo-optify produces direct
/opt folder.

You can also get a source package from Debian and create a deb directly from
it in scratchbox. The real problem is that Sqlite3 3.4.1 is part of the
Maemo distribution and if you replace is for the user you may break
something else (i think the db format is slightly different) and break it

Moblin and Ubuntu platforms are based on GTK+ and the Maemo Hildon
extensions, so at least the interfaces should be compatible.
As for distribution - you can't build fully open maemo based distribution

Isn't it more logical to wait for the alpha SDK before we start projects for
Fremantle? At least i don't have right now enough knowledge on the maemo 5
platform and what i can do with it. I can start a project now (or more
likely renew/retarget existing one),
You can't distribute them prepackaged. That's why some distributions have
dummy scripts which download and install the MS fonts from their site.

icon (the same 64x64) with the same name. Thus i have 64x64 in menu and
40x40 in taskbar (resizes automatically). I don't have scalable at all (in
