Ben,
WGS84 is not a projection, it is an ellipsoid.
Do you know what ellipsoid your original data were in?? Unless you have
specified transformation parameters from your original ellipsoid to WGS84 in
your mapinfo projection file then the Lat, Long will be the same.

Hello List,
I have a MapBasic tool that I downloaded from Directions Magazine. It
converts a tfw file that can only be read in ArcView into a MI table. It is
a great tool, but I've been attempting to customize it to my own needs.
First, I added a push button which worked fine. Now, I'm trying

There is a free plug-in to allow anyone to VIEW grids created in VM with

The solution is to delete the MIDLOCI.DLL from the directory which
contains MapInfo. This is apparently the DLL used for Oracle Spatial and
the error occurs because oracle spatial is not installed on the client

Jack,
The answer is that, essentially, .obj is not a property of a
string variable. The Alias variable type understands that it may hold
string, numeric, date, object, etc data. MS VB uses the 'variant' type for
the same sorts of casting.
Hope this helps.

Depending on the implementation, on how much of TM's functionality is
exposed, this would be an awesome product. TM is extremely robust, lacking

Haavard, Not to step on Mark's feet, but I like to use a decimal field
instead of the float. I find the float does not display enough decimal
places and you lose the accuracy for exports etc. With a decimal field you
can bring it out to 6 decimal places. (I appreciate whoever on the list
