I'm not sure whether to define certain variables using Global or Dim in a

Listers,
I've written a MapBasic routine that creates buffers around points

amount of water produced by that well in a given year. This works a lot

The following is the summary of responses to my query about web based

Hi Folks:
I'm sure I used to have a tool that would create

but I seem to have misplaced it!
As I remember, it was very slow, but gave you an

Listers,
Is there any way to re-order items in the legend? I have a geologic map and
would like to order the legend from the youngest formation on top to the
oldest on the bottom.
TIA & will sum.

Greetings,
This one turned out to be pretty simple:
The problem -- While in the background, MapInfo would stop running at an
attempt to periodically save data. I was using:
If counter Mod 20 = 0 Then Commit table_name
The solution -- Prevent the status bar from displaying. The status
I think you need to do something like:
Select First(Assay_Results.HoleID), First(Assay_Results.From),
First(Assay_Results.TO), First(Assay_Results.SampleNo),
First(Assay_Results.Znppm), Av(dhsusc.Magsus), Max(dhsusc.Magsus),
Min(dhsusc.Magsus)

Hi,
Has anyone any experience in using a Canon PS-XJ 320/500 Colour Server (photocopier /
printer) to print raster maps from MapInfo ? We find that only part of the page will
print whereas similar sized (or larger) files created from other packages do print
completely. Any help will be gratefu
Dear Listers,
I am trying to "get my head around" this problem. I have two tables of
down-hole data.
The first " Assay Results" is of the form (has these fields)
HoleID,From,To,sampleNo,Znppm
being respectively, the hole number, the from depth, the to depth, the
laboratory sample number and z

One way of solving you problem is to assign each base class with a 'Magic'
number. You could use factors of 2. e.g. 1,2,4,8,16,32,...,1024,2048... etc.
The neat thing with these numbers is that if if you add them they act as a
logic OR. And from the result you van always deduce which were the orig
Dear All,
I've noticed that if thematic layers are turned
on / off with a Mapbasic app, the changes are not automatically passed
to the legend / theme legend window. Presumably, the app needs to
include a Set Legend statement or Set Cartographic Legend statement
to update the legend?

Hi Sheila,
Maybe I have misunderstood your problem, but why don't you just
use A4 Portrait layout with 2 pages ?
In this way you don't need to rotate the things on your layout. The two
A4 pages will be on top on each other, if you just tilt your head a bit to
the left ; )
I hope this helps!
