Hey guys,

this means lots and lots of files. Is there a mapbasic routine where I can take,

This is very easy to do. You set up your first thematic using a particular
colour range (for your income variability) and then set a thematic for your
second variable (population) and select 'apply size' to the second attribute
in the 'options' section of the style customising dialogue box
Hello mappers,
I want to display the variations of two variables from one table on a map,
such as the population of towns (points) as proportionnal symbols and the
income as a variation of color.
Is it possible ? How ?

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding your question but isn't a
buffer what you need to create? If so, you don't need MapBasic, although you can
create buffers using the Buffer(), or Create Buffer as Object statements, you
simply need to use the Buffer command from the Objects menu.
