This is not really an answer to your question, but an observation. If you use the Access data structure to store you data for a mapinfo table, and then add a record from Access. I have seen instances where that record does not appear in the MapInfo table even when you open it up later. If you

MI-L Lon and Lat can be character fields?

2003-02-21 Thread MikeKilmore
I was trying to find a workaround for a table in which the lon and lat fields are defined as character (that is the only way my client can transmit it). Turns out no workaround is needed. MapMarker appears to read and write to the character fields without a fuss. MapInfo Pro 7 has problems in

MI-L Block-level population projection sources?

2003-02-21 Thread Bill Thoen
Does anyone know of a public source of demographic data *projections* estimated to the block level? I can get PL94-171 statistics for the 2000 census, but I'd like to find similarly aggregated estimates for 2003, 2005, and 2010 if such a source exists. -- - Bill Thoen

2003-02-21 Thread Ryan Morgan, Aerials Express
Just keep in mind that any previous workspaces with labels will no longer show the correct label after your table is packed. This is because the label is linked to the rowid, not a unique identifier for the record, especially once it has been packed. Cheers, Ryan Morgan Aerials Express www.Aeria
