Does anyone know if XP Home Edition could be the problem? Thanks in

Peter. I would recommend compressing the images. You can use the free
ECW compressor from Earth Resource Mapping to do this, just as long as
each image is less than 500 MB. Go to www.ermapper.com to get the
compressor.

I don't have the answer to this, but I am wondering if with MapInfo's
.NET strategy if we will easily be able to drop in Excel and other types
of files into our MapInfo layout window?

registration accuracies. MapInfo has to use one of
the registrations to control the map window, so vectors over that image
should not shift much, but the vectors in the other image (including the
other image) could shift significantly.
Hope this helps.

I don't have an answer for this, but one of my requests to MapInfo Corp
is to produce a MapInfo -- Flash converter so maybe this may show up in
a future version of Mapnfo Pro.

Has anyone had the problem of ToolTips not appearing in MapInfo Pro 7?
The checkbox is selected for this option. The PC that has MI Pro on it
is Windows 2000. The ToolTips showed up in MI Pro 6.5. Thanks for your
info.

The solution to my previous question is found. Under Options Toolbars
select Show ToolTips. Don't know why it works from here and not when
selected through the Preferences Map Window menu yet though.

That's one of the pitfalls I see with the Geodatabase concept. It is harder to share
your data with other clients, unless you export out Shape files, and then you lose the
business logic that is bound up with the spatial data.

We also use an HP2500CP but have not had these problems. It has been reliable, but
have had to try different versions of plotter drivers to get a good result.

Hi Dan,
I believe that NRCan or CTIS should have this info. You may even find something at
