To get the linear scale correct you set the WIDTH in the map window into the
WIDTH in the layout. However of course the layout window and the map window are
two dimensional and therefore items may appear in one and not the other.For

If the MBR table is extracted from a table of objects, then you can do the
following
Select * from PointTable, MBRObjectTable Where MBR(MBRObjectTable.Obj)
Contains PointTable.Obj
This allows you to have a table of any type of region objects, or
rectangle objects representing those MBR
