More general power systems and research-related questions, such as this one,
should be taken to a more appropriate forum.

dear matpower communityI need one helpI am going to write thesis for my
research. In that regard, i need some book references for renewable energy
integration explaining about the negative loading concepts or any paper
references or any other materials related with reactive power optimization,
farms play that role ( please correct me
everyone if you have an update on this). So in a nutshell firstly , ieee 14, 30,
118,... are MV and secondly PV panels are connected to LV ( less than 1000 V)
network.I hope that helpsIman

with the distribution system.?In matpower we are referring IEEE 30 bus system.

In a power flow case, the load and generation values are steady state power
values, not energy values. Daily or annual generation is energy.

hi rayIn power systems calculations we are using IEEE 30 bus system , IEEE 118
bus sytem, etc .In that bus data, the load at each bus refers to daily load or
annual load. Also generation at each bus refers to daily or annual
generation?kindly clarify my doubtfromambika

Sir,
For the question asked by simone coche, i found some answer from the forum.
From that i understand that PV generator can be added as a PQ bus with negative
load. Is it correct or not?

Sir,
I am doing research in the area of reactive power optimization. Apart from
using shunt capacitors and tap changing transformers for providing reactive
power, we can also use inverters on the solar panel. How can we add those
reactive power sources with matpower.
can you please guide me
(mpc.gen), tap
settings in the branch data (mpc.branch), and shunt capacitor values in the bus
data (mpc.bus).
See caseformat.m for the format in which MATPOWER stores the data.
