Myer, An Australian shop currently has the MZ-E60 Minidisc Player for Australian$199, which seems to be a very good price! I bought a blue one here in Hobart (nice rainbow effect on the outside of the case) but they have silver as well. No LP mode, but otherwise a bargain! Tim Pitman

My portable came with a Xitel AN1. AFAIK it's pretty similar to the Sony PC-Link. And I tried this Xitel on my standard 7300 PMac on 9.1 with a PCI USB card, works seamlessly. Plug it in and your Mac's sound output is directly routed to the USB device. In fact, it seems that the OS interprets

I can't record anything on my Sharp 831. When I put in a blank and press record, the message can't lock appears on the screen. I've tried different brands of blank and it makes no difference. The discs are not write protected (that was the first thing I checked) and it makes no difference
