Hi all,
I just checked out the Dataplay web page (www.dataplay.com). They are
pushing a new write-once, US $5.00-10.00 disc that looks like a 2/3
size MD (to be available early 2001). They say it'll be used in
cameras, mp3 players, computers, game devices, phones, etc.
It looks great, but I hav
Hi,
I live south of Yokohama, and I want to play mp3's from my laptop

using an analog line from the PC to the MD gives strange, tunnel-like

Hi,
There are a coup[le of these available now (Sony's PC Link, Thunderwire
(www.thunderwire.com), and Xitel's MD Port (www.xitel.com). All of them
claim that all you need is the USB port. Well, some sound cards have
digital out, and some don't, right? So, if my laptop's soundcard
doesn't have d
ttery??), and I'm guessing that nothing I have will work with the RCA
type AUX input (the only input other than digital in) on this stereo.
Is there any way I can get a signal properly into the stereo?
Are there any good web sites with relevant information?
Thank you.

Hi all,
First I want to apologize for my triple posting earlier about the idea
for a web page to take donations for bands whose music you "downloaded"
free and liked. I don't know how yahoo mail sent out three copies.
Second, here in Japan I can rent new CD full albums for about three and

Barring the use of the word "gibberish" when referring to the language
of Japanese, I didn't find anything offensive in what was said.
"Gibberish" *was* a bad, descriptive choice though.
Anyway, if you use Netscape and go to a Japanese site, you can look
under the "View" menu (I think it is) and
I bought a key ring LED illuminator before -- about the size of two
American quarters back-to-back. It was supposed to be used for
unlocking your car, etc., but it might serve well as a "dim"
illuminator. You might be able to find other varieties of LED
illuminators or other keychain lights of so
So, does SONY produce this? I know of a Genica and a MamboX and a
couple of
others, but they're all 1st generation players that don't display
anything
other than numbers on the tiny LCD. I'll be happy when
