Hi,
I got two pairs of the headphones which I got with my Sony MZ-R50 and
the MZ-R55, both brand new, I never used them.
I'd like to exchange them for a pair of Earbuds, preferably Sony
MDR-E821LP
which are about the same pricetag..
Cheers.

ooh gosh, why did I buy this one?! :)
A few days ago, my brand new (1 moth old) MZ-R55 exhibited a 'DISC ERR'
message after not
being able to read an MD for a minute, (an MD which I use regularly, and
never had problems with before)
A few minutes after, I attempted the read again, with the same

Sorry, I was looking at that:
SONY MZR-55 (World Model) $365.00
Which means what? it comes with a special power supply suitable for every
country?
The bare SONY MZR-55 $289.00 price they have there is OK.
btw, my Dad was in Hong Kong recently he saw the MZ-R55 for approx $230 US.
Cheers.

Hi guys,
I've been looking at the PDF service manual of the MZ-R55 taken from:
http://www.minidisc.org/mz-r55.pdf
and found a few differences in the part list of each model of the R55.

conductors + ferrite beads? (my guess would be

Hi guys,
Do you have an idea of the SB16 uses internal S/PDIF signals, or other
signals we can hook up off the SB16's main chip and convert to S/PDIF ?
if we manage to do such a thing, we can use this circuit to do digital
recordings via fibre to our MD or other devices...

This kind of info is very important to anyone who usesr rechargable
batteries and want to prolong or at least not shorten the life of his
batteries.

Hi guys and gals,
I bet it's not a simple topic to answer, but I wonder what are the real
differences
between blank minidisc brands such as sony, basf, tdk, others...
sound quality? reliability?, etc..
Is it worth buying Sony instead of TDK for example?
Thank you.
