I'm interested in purchasing a relatively inexpensive mic that would be good for
recording live concerts in a variety of settings (club, church, auditorium). Does
anybody have suggestions? I've seen a cool little T-mic at Minidisco for $50, but I
don't know how good of a mic it really is.
I bought a reburb MZ-R50 from the Sony outlet about a week ago for $170. Thanks to
everyone for their input that helped me in making my decision. I don't have any
regrets so far. I do have a few questions though;
the track mark on the remote does not work in normal play mode. is there
The R50 is at the Sony outlet near where I live. They say it has everything that came
with it originally except the box. But I thought sony had a special box for their
refurb products? So why would this one not have a box? If anybody has any insight
into this enigma or opinions for or
Many of my newer mp3s are encoded at 96kbps. I have read that this is "near cd
quality" for an mp3. How will these mp3s sound recorded to MD through a digital

Does the software/hardware connection that you buy ($70) replace the existing sound
card in your computer? Also, does it provide an optical out or analog? Does this
only work with Sharp MD players and mp3 players? Thank you!
Does anybody out there have experience with this unit? (besides mdreviews.com) I may

recording cds digitally to MD from the CD-ROM tray? I don't have a digital output on
my cd player for my stereo. If I

some R55's available. I am against this model because of the battery life, but could
probably justify it if it was cheap enough. Does anybody know how much this sells for
at the outlets??? Please reply

Is there a difference between the playback/record quality between component and
portable MD players? (w/in the same brand) and is the previous answer different if
both connections are digital? - analog? I realize there is a difference between
analog and digital, but w/ the only variable
I am planning on buying my first MD recorder/player in the next month or so. I have
done a lot of research on what's out there and what soon will be out there . . I have
concluded that the MZ-R50 is one of the best looking and performing units out there
right now - even when compared to the
I am currently shopping for my first minidisc player. I want to get a portable
player/recorder so I can do everything right away and then get a deck for my stereo
system eventually. Does anybody have any suggestions? I don't want to spend more
than $250. I have looked seriously at the
